Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Marketing Lead, the Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing, managing, and executing initiatives that increase customer retention and sales across Sales, Service, and Parts for select Dilawri franchised dealerships. As the primary point of contact for these dealerships and brands, the Marketing Strategist collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute annual marketing plans, monthly tactical campaigns, experiential marketing and sponsorship initiatives, digital updates, social media strategies, and other ad hoc projects.
Other responsibilities include staying up to date on best practices, delivering best-in-class customer experiences, and remaining informed about Dilawri and OEM brand compliance requirements. The position requires attention to detail, strategic thinking, a positive, flexible, and solution-oriented attitude, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
The expected salary range for this position is $65,000–$70,000 per year.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Act as the day-to-day marketing contact for select Dilawri franchised dealerships and regional marketing initiatives.
• Develop and execute annual marketing plans for each dealership.
• Align with each dealership's General Manager on monthly vehicle priorities and promotions, and develop creative briefs for sales and service campaigns.
• Manage or execute experiential marketing and sponsorship requirements, as appropriate.
• Review analytics and reports, and provide insights to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage traditional and multicultural media buys, including print and radio.
• Manage budgets, invoices, and co-op programs.
• Manage social media accounts and reporting.
• Conduct monthly dealership audits of the in-store experience and websites.
• Maintain clear communication with National Marketing regarding store-level activations, new partnerships, donations, and related initiatives.
• Provide additional marketing support to dealerships as required.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide professional customer service and support to all stakeholders.
- Follow established company policies and procedures.
- Participate in meetings and training as required.
- Follow the company's Health and Safety Program and comply with applicable provincial occupational health and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
Education
Post-secondary education in marketing, public relations, or a related field.
Skills
Strong understanding of marketing best practices.
Experience writing copy for a wide range of purposes.
Experience creating, publishing, and delivering content for targeted audiences through online platforms and email campaigns.
Experience developing and publishing content for social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Knowledge of and experience with SEO and Google Ads.
Experience with partnership activations, including events.
Ability to multitask and prioritize projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible team player and creative problem-solver with strong multitasking skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to represent the company professionally.
Experience
At least three years of marketing, public relations, or related experience.
Automotive dealership or retail experience is an asset.
