General Labourer - Commercial Cleaner

Nova Staffing is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals for a Commercial Cleaner / General Labourer position in Summerside, PEI. This role involves working in a food processing environment, performing deep cleaning and sanitation duties to help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient production facility. This is a physically demanding position in a high-paced environment. Candidates must be comfortable working in hot, greasy, wet, and dirty conditions and be willing to perform labour-intensive work throughout their shift.

Responsibilities:

• Perform deep cleaning and sanitation of food processing and production areas.
• Clean and sanitize machinery, processing equipment, floors, walls, drains, and work surfaces.
• Remove grease, debris, and product buildup from equipment and production areas.
• Use cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with general labour tasks as required.
• Maintain cleanliness standards throughout the facility.
• Complete other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a consistent basis.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced food processing environment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in hot, greasy, wet, and dirty conditions.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
