Seasonal Shuttle Driver

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely and reliably transporting employees between company-provided offsite housing and the work sites each day. This position plays an important role in ensuring employees arrive at work safely and on time and are returned to their housing at the end of their scheduled workday. This position is expected to run late October to early December, with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport employees between designated offsite housing locations and the workplace according to established schedules and routes.
• Ensure employees arrive at work on time for their scheduled shifts and are transported back to their housing following their shifts.
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, pickup times, and designated pickup/drop-off locations.
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any safety, maintenance, or mechanical concerns promptly.
• Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle.
• Ensure all passengers follow applicable vehicle safety requirements, including the use of seatbelts.
• Operate the vehicle in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Communicate promptly with the appropriate supervisor regarding delays, vehicle issues, accidents, route concerns, or changes affecting transportation.
• Assist with coordinating transportation when schedules or employee needs change.
• Ensure the vehicle is secured when not in use and keys are handled according to company procedures.
• Complete other transportation-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid AZ/BZ Ontario driver's licence.
• Clean and acceptable driver's abstract.
• Previous driving experience is considered an asset.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong attendance record.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow established schedules and procedures.
• Must be able to work flexible hours based on employee shift schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required (anticipated hours is 4-6 hours per day.
