HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organized HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team, based in Richmond Hill. The HR Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support across a variety of HR functions, including onboarding, employee records, attendance tracking, employee communications, progressive discipline, and general HR support.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and able to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to develop their career in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Records & HR Administration
  • Maintain confidential and accurate employee personnel files and HR records.
  • Update HR systems and employee databases as required.
  • Prepare HR reports, letters, forms, and other documentation.
  • Assist with employee status changes, promotions, transfers, leaves, and terminations.
  • Track employee attendance, vacation, leaves, and other employee-related information.
  • Ensure HR documentation is completed and maintained in accordance with company policies and applicable legislation.

Employee Relations & HR Support
  • Act as a first point of contact for general HR inquiries from employees and managers.
  • Support the HR Manager with employee relations matters and workplace investigations as required.
  • Assist with the administration and communication of company policies and procedures.
  • Support performance management and annual review processes.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, training, and company events.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.

Health & Safety
  • Assist with maintaining employee health and safety records and documentation.
  • Support workplace health and safety training and tracking.
  • Assist with WSIB-related administrative requirements as required.
  • Help ensure required workplace postings, records, and documentation are maintained.

General
  • Assist the HR Manager with special projects and process improvements.
  • Stay informed of changes to applicable employment standards and workplace legislation.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources or HR Coordinator role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with HRIS and/or payroll systems is an asse, more specifically ADP WFN.
  • Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act, is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, approachable manner.
Salary Range: $50,000 to $55,000
