Welldone Mechanical Services | Saskatoon, SK

Since 1998, we have been locally owned and operated in Saskatoon, providing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services to commercial and light industrial customers.

Our culture is centered around teamwork, professional development, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We believe our employees are our greatest asset, and we invest in helping our people build successful, long-term careers.

Position Overview:

Great service starts in the field-and this role puts you at the center of it. As our HVAC Service Supervisor, you'll be the hands-on technical leader helping our technicians deliver exceptional work on every job. You'll spend your time in the field coaching technicians, troubleshooting complex issues, identifying quality concerns, and helping prevent callbacks before they happen.

This position is designed for someone who leads by example. Your technical experience and presence on job sites will help strengthen workmanship, improve consistency, and give technicians the support they need to succeed. You'll also serve as an important connection between our field technicians and office teams, helping ensure projects stay organized and customers receive the level of service Welldone is known for.

Position: Commercial HVAC Service Supervisor

Pay: $48.00-$65.00 per hour, depending on experience

Work Hours: Full-time | Monday through Friday

Relocation: Assistance options and temporary housing available

Benefits
  • Medical and dental insurance with 100% employer-paid premiums
  • Life insurance
  • Critical illness coverage
  • Paid vacation
  • 11 paid holidays
  • RRSP with company matching
  • Company phone plan or partial reimbursement for your personal phone

Perks:

  • Take-home company service truck and gas card
  • Year-round work with a stable, growing local company
  • A meaningful leadership role where your field observations influence training and service standards
  • Opportunities for advancement and professional development
  • Company-paid education and industry training
  • Team events and activities
  • A positive workplace built around continuous improvement
  • A strong commitment to professionalism, quality, and doing the job right
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide active field supervision through frequent site visits, hands-on troubleshooting, and direct technical support for technicians. This is a working field position where you will regularly work alongside the team, including climbing ladders and accessing rooftop equipment, operating scissor and boom lifts with fall protection, and servicing systems in attics, crawlspaces, ceiling spaces, and mechanical rooms. The role involves lifting and carrying tools and components up to 50 lb (23 kg) without assistance and working full days on your feet in Saskatchewan's winter conditions and summer rooftop heat.
  • Take ownership of the Quality Control program by completing site inspections, quality checks, and post-job reviews for preventative maintenance and service work. Physically access equipment wherever it is located - including rooftops, ceiling areas, crawlspaces, and mechanical rooms - to confirm that work has been completed correctly.
  • Examine BuildOps records, service reports, and related documentation to ensure information is complete, accurate, professional, and consistent with company expectations.
  • Develop technicians through practical coaching focused on workmanship, productivity, documentation, and customer service. Provide timely feedback when issues arise and demonstrate the expected standard directly in the field by working beside technicians and showing them how the work should be performed.
  • Monitor callbacks, warranty claims, and repeat service issues to uncover patterns, workmanship deficiencies, training opportunities, and operational improvements that can reduce rework and improve first-time completion.
  • Improve communication and coordination between dispatch, service administration, and project teams to support reliable scheduling, clear responsibilities, and predictable job completion.
  • Support customers directly when a technical or quality-related issue requires experienced field leadership. Attend the site, investigate the problem, complete or oversee the necessary correction, determine the underlying cause, and implement measures to prevent the issue from recurring. Participate in emergency and after-hours service when circumstances require it.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture by enforcing proper PPE, safe work procedures, and applicable codes and regulations. Lead by example by personally following required practices for fall protection, lift operation, equipment access, and material handling.
  • Communicate inspection findings, recurring issues, and improvement recommendations to the Service Manager to support technician training and ongoing operational improvements. Participate actively in weekly service department meetings.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a service or technical environment, with HVAC industry experience required.
  • Journeyperson certification in a related trade is an asset; Red Seal certification is welcome.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with commercial mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop other technicians.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both customers and coworkers.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP platforms. BuildOps experience is an asset, but we'll train the right person.
  • Willingness to learn new technology and follow established processes.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.
  • Self-directed, dependable, and committed to improving yourself, your team, and the customer experience.
