THE OPPORTUNITY
Build the next stage of your quality career with an established Canadian industrial manufacturer that offers the stability of a longstanding business and the opportunity to continue developing your technical skills.
The company has operated successfully for many years and is continuing to invest in its people and operations. You will join an experienced manufacturing team where you can contribute immediately with your existing inspection skills while gaining broader exposure to quality systems, problem solving and automotive manufacturing standards.
This is an opportunity to grow into a stronger Quality Technician without needing to already be one.
WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR
We are looking for someone beyond the entry level, but not necessarily a fully developed senior Quality Technician. You may currently be a Quality Inspector, Quality Control Inspector or junior Quality Technician with approximately 1 to 3 years of hands-on manufacturing quality experience.
You should already be comfortable inspecting manufactured parts, using precision measuring equipment and reading drawings. More advanced quality systems experience can be developed.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
Career Growth: Build from hands-on inspection into broader Quality Technician responsibilities.
Training and Development: Expand your knowledge of quality systems, advanced inspection and structured problem solving.
Stability: Join an established Canadian manufacturer with a longstanding operating history.
Experienced Team: Learn alongside experienced manufacturing and quality professionals.
Meaningful Experience: Develop quality skills that are transferable across automotive and advanced manufacturing.
Competitive Compensation: $25 to $27 per hour, based on experience.
If you have developed a solid foundation in manufacturing inspection and are ready for an opportunity that offers both stability today and room to grow tomorrow, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
THE ROLE
You will perform hands-on inspection throughout the manufacturing process, including first-off, in-process and final inspection.
You will measure components against drawings and specifications, document results, identify non-conforming product and work directly with production and Quality when problems occur. As you develop, you will gain further exposure to more advanced quality tools and systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections.
Inspect manufactured components using calipers, micrometers, gauges and other measuring equipment.
Read engineering drawings, specifications and dimensional requirements.
Identify, document and help control non-conforming product.
Maintain inspection records and required quality documentation.
Work directly with production and Quality to identify and resolve manufacturing quality issues.
Participate in root-cause and problem-solving activities.
QUALITY SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT
IATF 16949 | Control Plans | PPAP | APQP | FMEA | MSA / GR&R | 8D / 5 Why | CMM | Calibration | Plex ERP
You do not need to be an expert in all of these areas. Existing exposure is valuable, and additional training and development will be provided.
WHAT YOU BRING
Approximately 1 to 3 years of manufacturing quality or inspection experience
Hands-on experience with calipers, micrometers, gauges and dimensional inspection
Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
Experience performing first-off, in-process and/or final inspection
Ability to identify and document non-conforming product
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD BE AN ASSET
