POSITION OVERVIEW

Lauren Services is seeking a Senior Project Engineer, Facilities (P.Eng.) to lead the technical delivery of complex brownfield and greenfield industrial facility projects. This role is ideal for a highly technical engineer with 10+ years of EPC or EPCM experience who enjoys leading multidisciplinary engineering teams while remaining actively involved in design reviews, technical problem solving, and client engagement.

The successful candidate will act as the technical authority for facilities projects, ensuring engineering excellence while supporting project execution, constructability, operability, cost control, and schedule performance.

Projects may include:

  • Gas processing facilities
  • Compression and pumping facilities
  • Metering and terminal facilities
  • Industrial utilities and infrastructure
  • Pipelines and associated facilities
  • Oil & gas production and processing assets
  • Renewable and energy-transition facilities
ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering execution for facilities projects from concept through detailed design, construction and commissioning
  • Serve as the primary technical focal point between clients, project managers, discipline leads, and construction teams
  • Provide engineering leadership to mechanical, process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil and structural disciplines
  • Develop and review engineering deliverables including Design Basis Memorandums, technical reports, calculations, specifications, equipment data sheets and construction work packages
  • Drive technical alignment, scope definition, risk management, and engineering quality throughout project execution
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting and change management activities
  • Facilitate design reviews, HAZOPs, constructability workshops, and client technical reviews
  • Support equipment selection and specification for pumps, compressors, vessels, heat exchangers, packaged systems and utility equipment
  • Ensure project compliance with applicable codes, standards and regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical support during procurement, construction, field execution and commissioning activities
  • Mentor intermediate engineers, EITs and technical staff
  • Identify opportunities to improve project execution, engineering efficiency, and lessons learned across projects
  • Support proposal development, estimating and business development activities as required
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered with APEGA, EGBC, or eligible for registration
  • 10+ years of EPC or EPCM project experience in industrial facilities engineering
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Experience executing projects through stage-gated project development processes
  • Strong understanding of engineering design, project execution, and construction interfaces
  • Experience supporting FEED, Detailed Design, Construction and Commissioning phases
  • Previous owner-operator, consulting engineering, or EPC experience considered an asset
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

This role can be based in Calgary, Kelowna, or Vancouver with a flexible hybrid work arrangement.
