Responsibilities include:
- Repairs and maintains equipment, tools, and machinery by performing the following:
- Studies blueprint/CAD of tools, templates, and parts.
- Visualizes shape, mechanical structure, and operation of tools.
- Computes dimensions and plans for machining and assembly operations.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts, cleans, lubricates, and inspects mold parts as part of tool PM or repair procedure.
- Performs welding and filing of tools, as well as venting tools, and maintaining vents as necessary.
- Grinds speakers and maintains the speaker's appearance.
- Verifies dimensions, clearance, and alignment of parts in the tools.
- Connects wiring and hydraulic lines to install electrical and hydraulic components.
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, milling machine, welders, drill press, and surface grinder to fabricate or repair parts to specifications.
- Verifies conformance of parts to specifications.
- Inspects parts to determine the cause of wear; smooths, flattens, and controls surfaces to achieve correct fit.
- Maintains 5S of the Mold Maintenance area.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of OSSD (or equivalent).
- Licensed journeyperson (mold maker, tool die maker, or other relevant trade).
- Six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
- Crane license.
- Forklift license.
- Ability to travel when necessary.
Schedule:
- Rotating shifts:
- Midnights: 11:30 pm - 7:30 am.
- Days: 7:00 am - 11:30 pm.
- Afternoons: 11:30 pm - 7:30 am.
Pay rate:
- $42.90/hour.
- Weekly pay every Friday.
