Job Summary:

The Building Operations Technician 1 supports daily facility operations with a focus on waste management, janitorial services, and maintaining clean, safe, and well-organized work areas. This role also assists with basic maintenance tasks and responds to routine facility needs as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Break down and manage cardboard waste in designated areas.
• Cut down wooden pallets and dispose of materials safely and appropriately.
• Collect and dispose of warehouse garbage to maintain a clean and organized facility.
• Operate a ride-on floor scrubber to support regular cleaning and upkeep of warehouse floors.
• Assist the local Building Technician with day-to-day facility tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial services, waste management, warehouse support, or facility maintenance is an asset.
• Ability to safely handle waste materials, break down cardboard, and dispose of wooden pallets and garbage.
• Experience operating or willingness to learn to operate ride-on floor cleaning equipment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to support day-to-day facility tasks as required.

The pay rate is $21.00 per hour. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data. The base salary is just one component of Ainsworth's total compensation package, which also includes additional rewards, benefits and health insurance, among others.
