Maintenance Manager - Capilano RV Park - 1 year term

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Operations Supervisor to perform a variety of maintenance, repair, improvement tasks and direct/manage a staff of workers for landscaping, general repairs and cleaning. The ideal candidate will have experience in general repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance of RV Parks, residential and/or commercial properties. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work, including carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and minor plumbing.
• Oversee and assist with the daily operation, routine upkeep, and troubleshooting of park utilities (30/50A electrical pedestals, water hookups, sewer lines), washrooms, laundry facilities, and office buildings.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs.
• Filling of propane tanks (certification will be provided).
• Chemical balancing of the pool and hot tub (certification will be provided).
• Repair and replace fixtures, doors, locks, and hardware.
• Perform basic electrical work such as replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
• Direct staff on maintenance of buildings, equipment and landscaping.
• Direct staff on cleaning of buildings and grounds.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls as needed.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Technician, or similar role.
• Prior experience working in RV parks, campgrounds, holiday resorts, or multi-family residential properties.
• Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, drywall, and basic electrical work.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor.
• Propane filling certification (or willing to obtain)
• Pool operators level 1 (or willing to obtain)
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to be on call for emergencies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade certification or vocational training.
• Experience working in residential or commercial property maintenance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
