Forklift Drivers

The Forklift Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods throughout the facility and warehouse. Standard shifts are 8 hours; shifts may regularly extend to 10-12 hours based on business demands. Some Saturdays may be required and are compensated at applicable overtime rates.

Requirements

Valid forklift certification with experience operating counterbalance forklifts; Raymond Reach Truck experience is considered an asset. Will be required during hiring process.

Driver A-Z license considered a benefit.

Minimum 1-2 years of forklift operating experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Ability to lift to 25 kg (55 lbs) when required.

Ability to safely perform repetitive bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling tasks.

Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.

Ability to read and understand shipping documents, work orders, and inventory records.

Comfortable working in a food manufacturing environment where airborne dust and dispersed materials may be present.

Ability to wear required PPE, including safety footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and hairnet/beard net.

Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills.

Availability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as business needs require.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Load, unload, move, stack, and stage raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.

Supply production lines with required materials and remove finished goods from production areas.

Perform shipping and receiving activities, including unloading inbound deliveries and loading outbound shipments.

Verify product quantities, lot numbers, and documentation for inventory accuracy.

Store materials and finished goods in designated warehouse locations using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices where applicable.

Conduct daily pre-operational inspections of forklifts and immediately report any deficiencies or maintenance requirements.

Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities.

Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safe storage practices.

Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures always.

Work effectively with Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to meet operational objectives.

Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with company safety standards.

Assist with general warehouse and material handling duties as required.
