Operations Scheduler

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule Optimization: Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules for fabrication projects to align Engineering, Procurement, Materials, Fabrication, and Construction activities.
• Shop Coordination: Attend weekly shop pre-production meetings to provide updates, capture changes, and adjust fabrication schedules accordingly.
• System Management: Utilize Primavera P6, Production Scheduling Systems (PSS), Visual Manufacturing, and Microsoft Excel to track progress and support planning.
• Risk & Critical Path Analysis: Monitor schedule performance, analyze critical path activities, identify resource constraints, and recommend corrective actions.
• Resource Forecasting: Develop manpower loading plans, capacity forecasts, and resource utilization reports to maximize shop efficiency and throughput.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Drafting, Procurement, Production teams, and vendors to ensure schedule accuracy.
• Stakeholder Communication: Report on schedule status, material shortages, long-lead equipment concerns, and capacity constraints through regular meetings and reports.
• Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives aimed at enhancing production planning, scheduling accuracy, workflow efficiency, and capacity management.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum five (5) years of scheduling experience in fabrication, manufacturing, EPC, oil & gas, or industrial construction environment.
• Integrated Scheduling: Proven track record of developing and maintaining integrated schedules across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction phases.
• Operations Knowledge: Strong understanding of production planning, shop capacity management, manpower loading, forecasting, and performance metrics.
• Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Visual Manufacturing, ERP/MRP systems, or similar manufacturing software.
• Advanced Primavera P6: Demonstrated experience with schedule development, resource loading, progress tracking, forecasting, critical path analysis, and recovery planning.
• Analytical & Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office, paired with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Industry Preference: Experience in modular fabrication, oil & gas facilities, or heavy industrial construction is highly preferred.
