Responsibilities

• Quantify scope of work from plans and/or site conditions
• Estimate cost based on quantified scope and tender documents
• Prepare and submit cost proposals and/or complete tender forms
• Review contract documents
• Provide submittals as required
• Issue work orders and communicate scope of work to production and site teams
• Manage projects through to completion
• Use CNC nesting programs to reduce production waste

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of relevant estimating and/or project management experience
• Experience with architectural sheet metal in the industrial, commercial and institutional construction market preferred; candidates from other industries with strong CNC/nesting program, database and CAD experience are also encouraged to apply
• Experience with generic corrugated metal wall cladding and roofing systems
• Experience with standing seam metal wall cladding and roofing systems
• Experience with architectural composite wall panel systems
• Experience with fibre cement wall panel systems
• Proficiency with CNC nesting programs and CAD
• Proficiency with Microsoft Access and database manipulation

Education

• Construction-related post-secondary education preferred
• Must be conversant with Microsoft Office programs
• Strong communication and letter-writing skills required
