Snow Removal - Crew Leader

• Typical start time is 4:00 am (on call)
• Sidewalk crews are given a minimum 30/hr weekly guarantee.

About the Opportunity

This position is responsible for carrying out a high standard of work relating to the Snow Removal division at Peter Hughes Landscape. This work includes but is not limited to on-site training and direction of crew members & lead hands, driving a truck with an attached trailer, shoveling snow, operating small engine equipment (backpack blowers, sweepers, & snow blowers), scraping ice, and assisting other departments as needed.

• Provide instruction to the crew
  
• Drive your crew to sites around the city and surrounding areas
• Shovel snow and clear ice from all designated areas, including sidewalks, walkways, and entrance points.
  
• Apply salt, sand, ice melt, or gravel as required
• Operate and utilize machines such as snow blowers, sidewalk sweepers, and backpack blowers to clear snow efficiently
• Remove all garbage and debris from sites to maintain cleanliness standards

What You Bring to the Table

• Minimum 1 year of crew leader experience in the landscaping/property maintenance industry
• Able to work on-call during the winter season
• Demonstrated competency in using property maintenance equipment (shovels, snow blowers, backpack blowers, sweepers)
• Commitment to demonstrating high-quality workmanship, efficient production, and exceeding safety requirements
• Clean and professional appearance, punctual, and dependable
