The Opportunity As a Senior Building Automation Systems (BAS) Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation, optimization, and continuous improvement of sophisticated building automation systems across a diverse client portfolio. You will leverage your technical expertise to diagnose complex building controls issues, perform preventative maintenance, implement system enhancements, and deliver exceptional service experiences to clients. Your work will directly contribute to improved building performance, energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and operational reliability. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize Building Automation Systems (BAS) and building control networks
• Perform preventative maintenance, service work, system upgrades, and commissioning activities
• Support ongoing building optimization initiatives focused on efficiency, reliability, and energy performance
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot HVAC control systems and related mechanical equipment
• Analyze control sequences, system trends, alarms, and network communications to identify performance improvements
• Provide technical recommendations and cost-effective solutions to enhance system operation and building performance
• Deliver customer training and guidance on BAS functionality and operational best practices
• Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance documentation, and technical findings following site visits
• Collaborate with project teams, facility operators, property managers, and building owners to deliver effective solutions
• Identify opportunities for modernization, energy retrofits, system upgrades, and additional service work
• Maintain high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service at all times
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share technical expertise with colleagues and team members

What You BringRequired Qualifications

• Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on Building Automation / HVAC Controls systems experience servicing, troubleshooting, and optimizing and diverse range Building Automation Systems (BAS) systems across a variety Commercial and Institutional Buildings
• Strong experience supporting commercial, institutional, and industrial building environments
• Extensive experience working as BAS Field Service and Preventative Maintenance Technician
• Excellent experience with BAS/HVAC Controls Systems diagnostics, repair and troubleshooting
• Deep understanding of HVAC control systems familiarity with HVAC system design
• Experience working with leading BAS platforms such as:
  • Delta Controls
  • Siemens
  • Johnson Controls
  • Niagara
  • Automated Logic
  • Trane
  • Or similar building automation systems
• Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting capabilities
• Ability to read and interpret control drawings, schematics, sequences of operation, and technical documentation
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BACnet communications and BAS network troubleshooting
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, BACnet Discovery Tool, Visual BACnet, or similar platforms
• Experience providing customer training and technical mentoring
