THE ROLE

STRIVE is recruiting an experienced Geologist for a contract opportunity supporting geological activities at a remote, camp-based mining operation in northwestern British Columbia.

This opportunity is well suited to a Geologist with strong core logging experience, acQuire software proficiency, and experience working with epithermal deposits. Experience within British Columbia's Golden Triangle or comparable geological settings is considered a strong asset.

This is a fly-in, fly-out opportunity working a 13 days on / 13 days off rotation, with 2 travel days and 12-hour shifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete detailed geological logging of drill core
• Accurately document geological observations and maintain high-quality geological records
• Utilize acQuire geological data management software
• Support geological work associated with epithermal mineral deposits
• Maintain accurate geological data and documentation in accordance with site procedures
• Support onsite geological activities as required
• Work collaboratively with geological, technical, and operational personnel
• Maintain organized and accurate geological records
• Follow established site procedures and operating requirements
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous professional geology experience within mining or mineral exploration
• Demonstrated core logging experience
• Experience using acQuire software
• Experience working with epithermal deposits
• Strong geological documentation and data management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, camp-based environment
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Ability to meet applicable site onboarding, safety, fitness-for-work, and travel requirements

ASSETS

• Previous experience working within the Golden Triangle and familiarity with comparable geological settings as preferred qualifications
• Familiarity with geological settings comparable to northwestern British Columbia
• Previous experience at large-scale mining operations
• Previous experience in remote or FIFO mining environments
• Previous experience working in core shack, field, and operational environments

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a camp-based mining position in northwestern British Columbia. Contractors work a 13-day onsite rotation followed by 13 days off, with 2 travel days associated with the rotation.

Work is completed during 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled. The position may involve core shack, field, and operational environments requiring site-prescribed PPE.
