The primary responsibilities of the Sales Representative - Industrial include:
Location : Mill Supply Halifax
Develop and maintain strong relationships with purchasing agents, facility managers, and end users within government organizations and military bases.
Manage existing accounts while actively prospecting for new business opportunities throughout the assigned territory.
Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and services.
Promote professional-grade tools, tool-storage solutions, and Mill Supply's existing Standing Offer.
Prepare and deliver customer presentations, quotations, and proposals with support from the inside sales team.
Achieve and exceed established sales and profitability targets.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, forecasts, and business opportunities.
Coordinate with Product Management, Operations, Accounting, and other internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer support.
Maintain ongoing communication with customers regarding products, services, pricing, and order requirements.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and government procurement policies and processes.
Participate in sales meetings, product training, and business-development initiatives.
Qualifications
College diploma and/or relevant professional experience.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of outside sales experience.
Experience selling to government, military, defence, or institutional accounts is considered a strong asset.
Proven record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of consultative selling and relationship management.
Experience navigating structured procurement processes, standing offers, or government contracts is considered an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and other sales-related technology.
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout Ontario.
