Journeyman Plumber / Gasfitter

Journeyman Residential Service Plumber — $42–$47/hour + Company Van

A.C.S. Plumbing & Heating is a family-owned company serving Calgary, Bragg Creek and surrounding communities. We're looking for an experienced journeyman plumber who takes pride in residential service work—diagnosing problems carefully, explaining solutions clearly, and completing repairs homeowners can feel confident in.

This is an opportunity to work with a high degree of independence while knowing you have experienced technical support behind you. You'll manage your own service calls, make sound decisions in customers' homes, and have someone to turn to when a challenging situation calls for another perspective.

The work

You'll diagnose and repair residential plumbing problems, discuss practical options with homeowners, complete quality work, and keep clear job records. You'll also look after your company service van and represent A.C.S. professionally on every call.

Our work includes water heaters, heating, gas fitting, renovations, Poly-B replacement and drain repairs. The work is varied, and strong residential service and troubleshooting experience is essential. You should enjoy figuring out what is really causing a problem—not just addressing the most obvious symptom.

What we're looking for

• Alberta Journeyperson Plumber and Gasfitting certification.
• Solid residential service and repair experience, including the ability to diagnose problems independently.
• Confidence managing service calls from start to finish and making thoughtful decisions in the field.
• A respectful, approachable communication style with homeowners and coworkers.
• Careful workmanship and genuine respect for customers' homes.
• Accurate job notes and comfort using a smartphone for field work.
• A valid Alberta driver's licence and a driving record acceptable to our commercial vehicle insurer. We'll request a current driver's abstract during hiring.

Gasfitting certification and heating experience are a must, you need to have hands-on experience with residential heating systems
