Controls Engineer/Technologist 1

The Controls Engineer/Technologist 1 executes technical assignments with increasing autonomy, delivering reliable hardware and software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Demonstrates strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Project)
• Consistently exhibits a reliable work ethic and dependability.
• Capable of developing and supporting hardware panel designs.
• Applies PLC programming skills in standard applications.
• Capable of supporting general HMI programming efforts.
• Maintains working knowledge of VFDs, servo systems, and drive controllers.
• Shows strong awareness of PPE requirements and safety practices.

Additional Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrates individual resourcefulness in completing tasks.
• Capable of supporting internal teams in maintaining project schedules.
• Capable of helping keep field teams aligned with project timelines.
• Handles customer interactions effectively in both routine and high-pressure situations.
• Represents the company and its brands in a professional manner.
• Proficient in adapting to changing work schedules and time demands.
• Communicates effectively with internal departments (e.g., Shop, CAD, Engraving) to support task completion.

Current Hours and Starting Time

• Full Time, 40 hours per week.
• Overtime may be needed.
• Currently Hybrid Work Environment- which includes some time in automotive plants.
