Détails de l'emploi :
What if your next role let you solve real problems for real people, every single day, without giving up your evenings? We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join a Gas Meter Exchange program in Calgary on a full-time, 10-month maternity leave contract, and this is the kind of role where your phone presence and organization make an immediate difference.
When a customer's appointment needs to move, or their gas service needs to be relit after a meter exchange, you are the person who makes it happen. You will confirm and reschedule appointments, coordinate relights with the right technician, and keep customers informed from the first call to the final follow-up.
If you enjoy helping people, staying organized, and being the calm voice on the line when timing matters, this is a chance to make a real impact while building experience that carries well into your next role.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
Your work has visible impact. Every relight you coordinate helps restore a customer's gas service, and every clean handoff keeps the program running on schedule.
You gain experience that stands out. This role blends customer service with dispatch support in the utility space, a combination that strengthens any resume in customer operations.
You are set up to succeed. Defined escalation paths, coverage procedures, and structured processes mean you always know the next step, even in time-sensitive moments.
Your schedule is predictable. The regular shift runs 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with flexibility needed for weekends only when the program requires it.
You report directly to the Manager, Project Strategy & Enablement, giving you close access to the people who shape how the program runs.
What You'll Be Doing
Answering inbound customer calls and resolving questions quickly and professionally
Making outbound calls to confirm appointments and reschedule when plans change
Coordinating relights and following up so customers are never left waiting
Supporting relight dispatch by following defined escalation and coverage procedures and identifying the right technician or next step
Monitoring voicemail and returning callbacks promptly so nothing slips through the cracks
Documenting every call outcome and update accurately in internal systems
Providing clear handoffs between shifts so the next person can pick up seamlessly
Helping the program hit its SLA targets and reduce escalations caused by coverage gaps
What We're Looking For
Availability to work the regular shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM MST, Monday to Friday
Flexibility to work weekends when needed
Strong phone presence and customer service skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in time-sensitive situations
Comfort following structured processes and escalation paths
Prior call centre, dispatch, or customer operations experience is preferred
Utility or emergency-response experience is an asset
Compensation & Work Model
$20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience. Full-time, temporary 10-month contract covering a maternity leave. On-site / hybrid work model, with details confirmed during the screening process. Target start date is mid-to-late September 2026.
Location & Travel
Quarry Park, Calgary, Alberta.
