Position: Warehouse Worker
Location: Burnaby BC V5J 5H9
Client: Leading Tools Manufacturing Company
Duration: 1 month Contract (Possible to extend)
Pay Rate: $19.00/hr
Receiving & Inspection
- Unpack incoming customer shipments and prepare tools for the next stage of the repair process.
- Accurately log received items using the SAP system (training provided).
Shipping & Fulfillment
- Prepare and package outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and labeling.
- Complete Hazmat paperwork for applicable UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipments.
Inventory & Material Handling
- Assist with warehousing and inventory control of spare parts and packaging materials.
- Organize and replenish packaging supplies to ensure availability and accessibility.
- Operate warehouse material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks.
- Assist with truck loading and unloading activities.
Workplace Organization & Safety
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement through LEAN practices.
- Properly label and handle hazardous materials according to company and OSHA requirements.
- Wear required safety equipment, including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and other PPE.
Team Collaboration & Performance
- Support team goals by completing tasks efficiently and meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining accountability and responsibility.
- Maintain a high sense of urgency, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
- Perform cross-functional tasks and other duties as assigned.
Warehouse Conditions
- Temperature-controlled warehouse with heating and air conditioning.
- Workshop environment may include noise, dust, and other particles.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and carry 50+ lbs.
- Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive bending, reaching, and climbing.
- Safely operate warehouse material-handling equipment.
Skills
- Comfortable using computers and software tools.
- Experience with SAP or willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Pallet jack and other warehouse equipment experience preferred.
- Effective oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong commitment to safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
