Warehouse Worker /Cherry Picker & Reach Truck Operator Status: Full-Time Shift:

• 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 12:30 PM (Noon) – 9:00 PM

Pay: TBD Location: Torbram Rd & Williams Pkwy, Brampton, ON Our client, an electrical distributor in Brampton, is looking for a Warehouse Associate / Raymond Reach forklift operator to join their busy warehouse team. Selected individuals will split their time between operating the Raymond Reach forklift, the Cherry Picker (Order Picker), and general warehouse/material handling — so you must be certified on both the Reach Truck and Cherry Picker and comfortable operating either; this is not a one-machine role.
Job Duties

• Operating Raymond Reach forklift — 10% of the time
• Operating Cherry Picker — 30% of the time
• General warehouse/material handling — 60% of the time
• Order picking using an RF scanner
• Picking orders around the warehouse using a walkie or pump truck
• Assisting with shipping
• Additional duties as requiredie cleaning, picking packing...
• Picking and packing large wire reels/spools (cabling) — some heavier items involved
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently
• Utilize RF scanners to inspect and load orders for shipment
• Load orders in a safe and competent manner to avoid damage in shipping
• Perform at levels equal to or exceeding company production efficiency standards
• Verify items at accuracy levels equal to or exceeding established company standards
• Ensure orders being shipped are neat, clean, and in good condition
• Ensure hazardous items being shipped are properly identified
• Properly wrap orders to ensure the product is secure and well marked
• Process UPS orders efficiently and in accordance with all UPS rules
• Report orders arriving in blatantly incorrect, damaged, or dirty condition
• Follow all company safety rules and expect the same from coworkers
• Maintain a clean work area and expect the same from coworkers
• Promote a team environment through cooperation, positive attitude, and professionalism
• Communicate effectively (verbal and written, including legible handwriting)
• Work necessary hours, including overtime, when needed
• Wrap skids
• Perform other duties as assigned

Forklifts Operated Must be certified and comfortable on both:

• Raymond Reach
• Cherry Picker (Order Picker)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience on forklifts
• 1-2 years of experience with quality/inventory control
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; flexible with extra hours to help the team finish the day's work
• RF knowledge an asset
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Basic math skills
• Reliable, hard-working, strong attendance record
• Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to approximately 80 lbs (including large wire reels/spools)
• Previous UPS systems experience an asset but not mandatory
• Certifications: Certified on both Order Picker and Reach Truck is required — candidates must be comfortable operating both machines.
