Linux System Administrator

Based in Calgary, this 12-month contract position offers a hybrid work model (3 days in-office) with a tech-forward organization. You will help manage a modern environment centered on bare-metal OpenStack clusters integrated with public cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and maintain core private cloud infrastructure centered on OpenStack clusters.
• Seamlessly integrate and manage public cloud platforms alongside physical hardware.
• Modernize operations through Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and automated configuration tools.
• Deliver Tier 3 support and system integration guidance to connected member organizations.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on expertise with OpenStack private cloud orchestration and Linux administration.
• Direct experience managing and integrating public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency with containerization, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
• Solid grasp of system observability and telemetry tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Zabbix.
