Registered Dental Hygienist (Full time) - Davis Ortho Cobourg

Are you interested in being a part of a team in the exciting and interesting field of orthodontics? We are currently seeking an RDH with ortho experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a positive and enthusiastic demeanor and enjoy working with both children and adults.

Responsibilities:

• Provide dental hygiene functions as directed by the doctor
• Clinical duties including:
  • Bonding brackets
  • Repositioning and repairing
  • Changing wires
  • Debonding brackets
  • Removing excess cement
  • Retainer insertions
  • Retainer/appliance adjustments
  • Fitting and cementing bands
• Provide patients with oral hygiene instruction
• Take scans, x-rays, intra-oral and extra-oral photos if required
• Coordinate charting procedures
• Follow clinical protocols including IPAC and Health & Safety policies
• Other duties may be required

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
• Pleasant, professional demeanor with a passion for patient care
• Must be in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario
