PSW Needed - Weekends and Public Holidays

Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Home Care

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide in-home care and companionship for an elderly individual with mobility challenges.

This position is primarily focused on weekend & public holiday care, with the possibility of additional weekday shifts for someone interested in more hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mobility and safe transfers around the home
• Provide support with activities of daily living as required
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Administering medications
• Prepare light meals and provide assistance with eating, if needed
• Provide companionship and social interaction
• Assist with light household tasks related to the client's care
• Help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
• Monitor and communicate any changes or concerns regarding the client's well-being
• Follow the family's care instructions and established routines

Qualifications

• PSW certification needed
• Previous experience working with seniors and individuals with mobility challenges
• Experience with safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach
• Reliable and punctual
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a family care team
• Current CPR/First Aid certification is an asset

Schedule

Primary need: Weekends and Public Holidays (2 shifts, 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 10pm)

Additional weekday shifts may be available for the right candidate who is interested in additional hours.

We are looking for someone who can provide consistent, dependable care and who genuinely enjoys working with seniors.
