Senior Legal Counsel

Location: West GTA

Expected Compensation: Up to $210K + Bonus

Adams Limitless is supporting an award-winning residential developer/builder as it expands its in-house legal team to support its continued development of high-quality homes across the GTA.

This is an opportunity for an experienced legal professional with a strong background in civil litigation, administrative law, and municipal matters to transition into a high-impact in-house position without the demands of a traditional billable-hours environment.

As Senior Counsel, you will report directly to the SVP, General Counsel and play a pivotal role within the legal team.

The position combines strategic in-house legal advisory work with hands-on involvement in a variety of legal proceedings, including appearances before Superior Court, the Ontario Land Tribunal, private arbitration, Small Claims Court, and the Landlord and Tenant Board.

You will advise on legal matters connected to municipal development projects across low-rise, mid-rise, and commercial developments, while working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

• Represent the company in Superior Court, Ontario Land Tribunal proceedings, private arbitration, and other legal forums.
• Lead and manage litigation strategies involving complex legal disputes.
• Provide legal advice on condominium applications, registrations, and other property-related matters.
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, compliance requirements, and regulatory developments affecting the business.
• Draft, review, and negotiate municipal agreements, including site plans and development agreements, as well as private contracts.
• Collaborate with external counsel, municipal authorities, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Provide strategic legal advice related to low-rise, mid-rise, and commercial municipal development projects.
• Ensure legal documentation and processes comply with applicable laws and regulations.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in civil litigation, administrative law, and municipal matters.
• Proven experience handling complex legal proceedings and high-stakes negotiations.
• Extensive experience drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and municipal agreements.
• Previous experience with Superior Court proceedings is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide sound legal advice under tight deadlines.
• Ability to operate independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
