Field Supervisor

Field SupervisorDepartment: Operations / Field Services
Reports to: Senior Project Manager
Position Summary The Field Supervisor oversees on-site installation work from start to finish, making sure projects are completed on schedule, to specification, and in line with safety requirements. This role is the link between the project team and the installation crew, providing clear direction, resolving site issues, and keeping stakeholders informed.
Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and evaluate projects, ensuring adherence to schedule, specifications, and safety requirements
• Conduct site visits to review progress, inspect installations, and ensure compliance with approved drawings
• Coordinate and supervise installers, ensuring smooth operations and timely resolution of issues
• Communicate project changes and provide clear instructions to the installation team
• Review architectural and shop drawings, anticipate potential complications, and provide feedback to the project team
• Track site progress, report to the Senior Project Manager, and ensure installations meet schedule and quality standards
• Perform site reviews and measurements to confirm installations align with project specifications
• Resolve on-site issues while maintaining clear communication with all parties involved
• Coordinate deliveries and equipment, ensuring materials and tools are available as needed
• Maintain documentation of site progress, including photos and deficiency reports
• Attend coordination meetings and ensure site preparation aligns with the project schedule
• Represent the company's core values in interactions with clients, coworkers, and contractors
• Perform other reasonable, lawful duties as required

Qualifications

• Previous experience in field management is an asset
• Strong background in the window wall or railing industry
• Valid full G driver's license
• Ability to travel to job sites using a company vehicle
• Willingness to travel to job sites west of the GTA, up to the Niagara Region, and the Ottawa area

Working Conditions

• Protective equipment required in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed safety shoes)
• May be exposed to heat, humidity, loud noise, and dust
• Travel in various weather conditions may be required
