Contract Conformance Specialist

Location: Calgary or Edmonton, AB
Work Model: Field-Based / Rotational
Schedule: Approx. 12-hour days / 60-hour weeks, based on site requirements
Training: First 2 months in office, then mobilization to site
Safety Sensitive: Yes – Drivers Abstract and D&A testing required
We are seeking an experienced Contract Conformance Specialist. This is a field-based role involving rotational work at the project site. The successful candidate will initially complete approximately two months of office-based training before mobilizing to site.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer major Engineering and Construction contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support field contract management and conformance, ensuring contractors meet contractual, regulatory, and project requirements.
• Prepare and manage RFX/RFP documents, evaluations, negotiations, and contract formation.
• Review contractor deliverables, invoices, and submissions for contractual compliance.
• Manage contract changes, directives, change orders, documentation, and close-out activities.
• Work closely with contractors, project teams, SCM, Legal, and other stakeholders to resolve contractual issues.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction, or Law; or associate degree with 10+ years of relevant major contract experience.
• Strong experience with contract formation, administration, negotiations, sourcing, and field contract management for large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
• Excellent stakeholder management, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Oracle, and SharePoint.
• Willingness to work a rotational field schedule with extended hours.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet safety-sensitive requirements.
