Term/Status: Auxiliary - Anticipated 70 hours bi-weekly to March 31, 2027
Classification/Salary: Clerk R10: Position starts at $29.94 per hour
Team: NTC North Location: Prince George

The Role:

Preference will be given to applicants who live with a developmental disability.

As an Office Assistant at CLBC, you will help with many different reception and office-related jobs, including:

  • greeting people visiting the office
  • answering the phone and taking messages, or forwarding calls to the appropriate staff
  • work on the computer, for example, completing form letters and creating mailing labels.
  • prepares the mail for daily pick-up
  • organizing and keeping track of office supplies
  • restocking the printer and photocopier paper trays
  • picking up and delivering faxes
  • keeping the reception, waiting area, file rooms, offices and kitchen tidy and restocking supplies

You will be part of a team that communicates in a friendly and respectful way with all kinds of people and creates positive working relationships with co-workers, staff, and people from different backgrounds.

You will report directly to the Supervisor of Administrative Services.

Qualifications:

  • Attended high school and/or has a similar combination of education, training and experience
  • Being careful and paying attention to small details is helpful for this job

Additional Info:

  • Successful applicants are subject to a Criminal Record Check
  • An eligibility list for internal candidates may be established
  • Auxiliary employees receive vacation pay of 6% of their regular earnings, paid bi-weekly, plus $0.91 per working hour, up to $63.70 per bi-weekly pay period, in lieu of sick time and benefits. After 90 days of employment, you are entitled to up to five days of paid illness and injury leave per year. You will begin contributing to the Public Service Pension Plan once your pensionable earnings exceed half of the year's maximum, typically after about six months of full-time employment.
