Cylindrical Grinder

Our client is a manufacturer that specializes in the hard chrome plating and repair of a variety of items including hydraulic cylinder rods, pump shafts, printing rolls, electric motor armatures, and all types of shaft and housing repairs.

They are currently looking to hire a Cylindrical Grinder to add to their production floor.

Cylindrical Grinder (1 needed for now) A cylindrical grinder is a machine used to precisely shape the outside of a cylindrical object or the inside of a cylindrical bore. It uses a rotating grinding wheel to remove material from the workpiece, achieving accurate shapes and surface finishes.

Location : Brimley & Danforth in Scarborough

Shift : Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm

Pay Range : $18.00-$33.00 per hour (based on how many years of hands on experience)

Duration : Contract to Permanent any time after 3 months

REQUIREMENTS :

• 3-5 years minimum hands on experience operating manual metal cylindrical grinders within manufacturing
• A strong understanding of grinding processes, wheel selection and machine operation is crucial
• Should be comfortable with precision work and maintaining high quality standards
• Ability to interpret and analyze engineering documents including drawings and blueprints
