Cut-off Operator, Afternoons

We're hiring Cut-Off Operators in Woodstock, ON!

• Full-time position
• Afternoon shift, 2pm-10pm
• Starting at $21/hr

Responsibilities:

• Complete mill changeovers and equipment setups according to work instructions and production requirements
• Perform designated tasks throughout the tube-making process efficiently and accurately
• Verify product identification, markings, and specifications when required
• Inspect finished products for physical defects and identify non-conforming product
• Perform quality checks and SPC testing according to established procedures
• Complete destructive weld testing to verify weld integrity
• Collect, identify, and maintain tube samples for each coil number throughout production
• Quarantine and properly identify non-conforming product for further review
• Perform general equipment maintenance, including oiling, greasing, and cleaning
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Complete required production and quality documentation

Requirements:

• Basic computer knowledge
• General mechanical knowledge
• Knowledge of workplace safety hazards
• Strong understanding of machine and hand tool safety
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to follow work instructions and production procedures
