Health Care Aide (HCA) / Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Senoria Seniors is seeking a compassionate and reliable Health Care Aide (HCA) / Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide personalized in-home support to seniors and individuals who need assistance with daily living.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and hygiene.
• Support mobility, transfers, positioning and fall-prevention practices.
• Prepare meals and provide feeding assistance when required.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, dishes and other reasonable household tasks.
• Provide companionship, social engagement and emotional support.
• Accompany clients to appointments, shopping and community activities when required.
• Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate care/service documentation.
• Observe and promptly report changes in client condition, incidents or safety concerns.
• Follow Senoria Seniors' privacy, infection-control, health and safety, and client-care policies.

These duties align with the HCA responsibilities contained in Senoria's current employment agreement.

Requirements

• HCA, PSW, Health Care Assistant, or equivalent certificate – required
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred
• Vulnerable Sector/Criminal Record Check required
• Previous senior care or home-care experience is an asset
• Compassionate, dependable and comfortable assisting with personal care and household duties
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Gujarati language skills are preferred but not required
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
