Controller / Assistant Controller
Our client is seeking a Controller / Assistant Controller to play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This hands-on position is responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, supporting financial reporting, maintaining accurate financial records, and driving process improvements across the finance function. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, a practical problem-solving approach, and a willingness to take ownership from start to finish.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, cash management, and general ledger activities
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to support decision-making
• Coordinate audit, tax, and external reporting requirements
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and reporting processes
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance financial reporting
• Partner with teams across the organization to resolve financial and operational issues

Your strengths include:

• CPA designation
• 3+ years of experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar accounting leadership role
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
• Experience managing full-cycle accounting and financial close processes
• Ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting and financial systems
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the organization
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
