About Petvigo

Petvigo is developing a pet products retail and pet care business in Vancouver, supported by an online store. We aim to help pet owners make better everyday choices by offering carefully selected, practical and trustworthy pet products.

Position Overview

The Pet Product Coordinator supports Petvigo's product selection, supplier coordination and product launch process. This role connects the Vancouver product team, suppliers, and the overseas sourcing and logistics team to ensure suitable products are evaluated, documented, ordered and prepared for sale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research pet-product categories, market trends and customer needs.
  • Evaluate and select products based on quality, safety, functionality, pricing and market potential.
  • Source suppliers and compare quotations, minimum order quantities, lead times and wholesale terms.
  • Coordinate product samples, internal reviews, purchase orders and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare product data for inventory systems and online listings.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams throughout the product launch process.
  • Monitor inventory and product performance.

Qualifications

· At least 3 years of buying or purchasing experience in the pet industry is required.

· Experience in international buying or sourcing is a strong asset.

  • Strong knowledge of pet products, customer needs and industry trends..
  • A background in pet nutrition is an asset.
  • A diploma or degree in merchandising, supply chain management, animal science, pet nutrition or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong product research, organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and product databases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • English proficiency is required; Chinese proficiency is an asset.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in the pet industry and a strong understanding of pet products and consumer needs. They are organized, detail-oriented and commercially minded, with the ability to balance product quality, safety, pricing, supplier reliability and profitability.
