Position: Procurement Coordinator

Payrange: $65,000 to $75,000 (DOE)

Location: Mississauga, ON

Permanent after 3 months of probation

Our client is a machine manufacturer. They are looking for a procurement coordinator to add to their growing team

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Procurement Coordinator is responsible for researching and sourcing products and suppliers, building relationships to ensure products and services are obtained at the lowest cost possible without compromising on quality, service, and delivery. The Procurement Coordinator is also responsible for negotiating prices with suppliers to remain within budgets and project schedules.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Prepare RFQs and/or purchase orders for production jobs, maintenance, tooling and office supplies and other products as required using list of established suppliers.
  • Research/Source products and suppliers to fulfill requirements and obtain best price, quality, service, and delivery.
  • Confer with engineering personnel when required to resolve part
  • Follow-up with suppliers to ensure deliveries are on schedule and will meet project deadlines; expedite as required.
  • Work with suppliers on issues related to delivery shortages/defects,
  • Facilitate the return of
  • Monitor price increases and communicate changes, as
  • Create new item numbers and descriptions in the ERP
  • Maintain accuracy of item and vendor information in ERP system, including qualified suppliers, price, supplier part number, lead time, inventory levels and package quantity.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and work with them to achieve continuous improvements in cost and performance.
  • Assist Accounts Payable with resolving supplier invoice
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls as part of a shared responsibility with the operations team
  • Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years experience in a buying
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems & data entry is
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving
  • Meticulous records maintenance
  • Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal
  • Good financial and business
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive
  • Strong customer service
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these
