The Data Specialist with Troi Mailing Services Inc. is responsible for managing and processing data for direct mail projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient production. Bringing strong database management and problem-solving skills, this detail-oriented team member plays a key role in supporting client mailings, internal systems, and postal requirements.

Work scope includes address file processing, data programming, analytics, and collaboration with internal teams. The Data Specialist focuses on maintaining data integrity and production quality.

To achieve these important goals, the Data Specialist will review and process data dockets, work with a variety of online tools and applications, and ensure all mailing data is properly prepared for execution. This role requires programming experience, clear comprehension of data processing for direct mail, and computer database skills. Skilled tasks involve mail-merging variable data, list segmentation, programming variable donation matrices, and artwork file edits using Adobe. This position also includes cross-checking peer work, managing vendor submissions including US NCOA approvals, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Canada Post (CPC) and USPS requirements. This team member will communicate any issues (and identify solutions) and will support managers with system and equipment concerns.

In addition, the Data Specialist contributes to production through laser setups (laser lives and proofs), print operations, and the preparation of Statements of Mail (SOM). Accuracy, efficiency, and proactive communication are essential to ensuring successful project delivery and compliance with evolving postal standards structures.

Experience in direct mail list processing, database management, or related programming is required.
Experience in Microsoft Suite (Excel most importantly) is required.

Experience with mailing production workflows, NCOA processing, Canada Post documentation, Microsoft Access, and Adobe creative applications are considered strong assets.
