We are seeking a strategic, customer-focused leader to oversee precision agriculture operations across the organization. The Corporate Precision Agriculture Manager will drive the dealer strategy for solutions enabled by the John Deere Precision Agriculture strategy and other aligned technology, strengthen the customer experience, lead consistent processes, and team development across all five of our locations. This position can be based out of any one of our five dealer locations in southeast Saskatchewan.
What You'll DoReporting to the General Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of integrated solutions across the organization to improve connectivity, strengthen the customer experience, and support consistent precision agriculture practices. You will develop and execute strategic plans that grow department sales and profitability while monitoring key performance indicators such as engaged acres, technology adoption, utilization, and customer satisfaction.
As part of the leadership team, you will collaborate closely with marketing, customer support, operations, and the corporate team to support improvement initiatives and drive department growth. As an engaging leader, you will effectively connect with, motivate, and inspire department personnel to improve performance while building accountability and engagement.
For you to be Successful, You:- Have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with all staff, vendors and customers, through trust, diplomacy, empathy, and tact while inspiring others to meet and exceed corporate goals.
- Understand financial reporting for a precision agriculture department and can analyze performance to identify opportunities to improve technology adoption, customer engagement, margins, and operational efficiency.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset and strive for continuous development of yourself, the leaders you support, and the teams across the department.
- Bring a strategic, proactive approach to customer service, precision agriculture solutions, customer support programs, and team performance.
- Embrace technology and are energized by how digital tools, systems, and data can improve productivity, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Adopt change willingly, champion improvement initiatives, and enjoy sharing your knowledge to develop others across the organization.
- Have strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and engage teams across multiple locations.
- Understand equipment components and systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic applications, and how they relate to technology for agricultural and turf equipment.
- Recognize the challenges facing growers in the agriculture and acreage industry and can respond with integrated, practical, customer-focused solutions
For you to be selected for an interview:
- Minimum 5 years experience in an agriculture-related role, preferable in Agronomy or precision farming.
- Proven leadership skills managing a team to get results.
- Post Secondary education in agriculture technology, agriculture business, mechanization, agronomy or equivalent experience preferred
- Computer skills required: Microsoft 365, Vital Edge (CDK). Plus a working understanding of the technology used in the dealership's precision ag strategy such as John Deere Operations Center, JD Link, MyJohnDeere, GPS, and other 3rd party platforms such as Raven, CASE IH displays, and Climate Field View
- Valid driver's license required to travel to the 5 dealer locations.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada and occasionally travel to the United States.
