About Us
Fraser Valley Fire Protection Ltd. (FVFP) is a fire protection contractor serving commercial, industrial, and residential clients across the Fraser Valley. We're looking for an apprentice to join our service department — inspecting, testing, and repairing existing fire sprinkler systems rather than new installs.

The Role
You'll work alongside our journeyman sprinkler fitters performing inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) on wet, dry, and pre-action sprinkler systems.

What You'll Do

• Assist with annual, 5-year, and other scheduled inspections and flow tests on existing sprinkler systems
• Diagnose and repair leaks, corrosion, and faulty components (valves, alarms, risers, trim)
• Read and interpret existing system drawings and as-builts
• Complete accurate inspection reports and service documentation
• Travel between client sites across the Fraser Valley
• Follow all OHS and site-specific safety requirements

What You Need

• Completed first-year (Level 1) technical training in the Sprinkler Fitter apprenticeship program through SkilledTradesBC
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
  
• Comfortable working at heights, in mechanical rooms, and in occupied buildings
• Physically able to lift, climb, and work in varied conditions
• Strong attention to detail

Details

• Location: Abbotsford, BC, with travel throughout the Fraser Valley
• Schedule: Monday–Friday with some, but minimal, work scheduled on evenings or weekends.
