Head Receiver

Worklynx Recruitment Inc. is hiring an experienced Head Receiver to join a busy Distribution Centre team in Ancaster, Ontario.

The Head Receiver will lead and coordinate daily receiving operations, ensuring inbound shipments are received accurately, processed on time, and prepared for putaway. This position works closely with vendors, carriers, and Distribution Centre teams to resolve receiving issues and maintain efficient warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily receiving activities and coordinate workflow.
• Receive, verify, and process inbound shipments.
• Coordinate delivery appointments with vendors and carriers.
• Investigate and resolve shortages, overages, damages, and other discrepancies.
• Coordinate unloading, sorting, labelling, palletizing, and putaway.
• Use RF technology, warehouse-management systems, and X3.
• Train, support, and provide direction to receiving team members.
• Monitor workflow, productivity, inventory accuracy, and operational standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized receiving area.
• Follow all Health and Safety and equipment-operation procedures.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of receiving, warehouse, or Distribution Centre experience.
• Previous lead-hand or leadership experience is preferred.
• Reach-truck experience or a valid licence is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
• RF scanner and WMS experience is an asset.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work with urgency, and adapt to changing operational needs.
• Strong team leadership, coaching, and communication skills
