Position Title: Extrusion Operator ( Level – 1 ) Night Shift

Department: Production

Reporting Relationships:

To the Lead Hand

General Description of Position: - Extrusion Operator ( Level – 1 )

Night Shift 7:00pm to 7:00am

Is responsible for all aspects of Extrusion

Position Specifications:

• 3 x 10hrs days Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. (Depending on demand, may work 4 days)

Roles and responsibilities:

The Team Leader or Lead Hand on your shift will assign you an extruder line to operate.

1. You must keep the hopper full with the proper material at all times. To be checked frequently.
2. Have the Team Leader or Lead Hand check your production hourly to ensure your product has the proper quality needed.

Check drawing with P.O.

Check Production book for appropriate set up.

Hourly check

3. Keep your product clean while you bag or box it; label the boxes or bags.

4. Make product samples and fill in the quality control sheet as per your Team Leader's instructions.

5. Aid the shipping department in loading trucks, building skids, etc.

6. Keep your area (extruder line) clean by sweeping your work area and putting garbage in the proper spot.

7. Other duties as required.

Basic Tools Used

1. Calipers (see Caliper Authorization form)
2. Large flat tip screwdriver
3. Pliers
4. Utility knife
5. Small tool box
6. Good quality tape measure

Equipment and Machinery Experience

• Dollies and hand trucks
• Pallet jacks
• CSA approved safety toed shoes required (Must have)

We have an opening for a Extrusion Operator (Night Shift) Level -1

We offer a fulltime position, with excellent work hours, vacation during the hottest period of the summer, and an additional fixed week during Christmas. A quarterly bonus program, company BBQ's and annual increases.

Ideal candidates will have strong, self-directed work ethic, and work well with others. You must be able to work in various environmental conditions as this position works indoor. There is also heavy lifting involved due to the nature of our products. Ultimately, we are looking for reliable and motivated people who don't shy away from hard work.

Wage scale: 17.00 to 18.00/hr. (plus .50-night shift premium)

Responsibilities:

• Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift. May include, but not limited to, Daily production sheets, QC sheets, and Time sheets.
• May have to, assemble/build containers and palletized crates for production. Light understanding of wood working
• Counting, stacking, and organizing
• Safety checks of gear and equipment
• Understand and adhere to the company's safe work practices and regulations

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school education or GED
• Able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
• Frequent lifting up to 50lbs
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to work efficiently as part of a team, as well as independently
• Organized and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations
• Must be able to work Full-time with minimal supervision; must be self-directed
• Work is performed indoors and environments where temperatures will range throughout the various seasons with exposure to hot temperatures
• Constant use of arms and hands to reach for, handle, carry, and manipulate objects up to 50lbs
• Standing, walking, knelling, crawling, crouching occurs frequently
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to understand the scheduling process, quality training, and safety policies/procedures.
• Proven good attendance record.
