Location: Alberta & Nunavut – Travel Required
MSCP Heat Management Solutions is seeking experienced Journeyperson Insulators to support our growing industrial construction, maintenance and project operations.
This position requires travel to remote project locations in Nunavut. Candidates must be willing and able to travel and work rotational schedules as required by project and client needs.
ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret drawings, specifications, isometrics, work packages and insulation schedules.
Install, remove, repair and maintain industrial insulation systems on piping, vessels, tanks, heat exchangers and other process equipment.
Select, measure, cut, fit and secure insulation materials according to project specifications.
Install industrial insulation materials and associated protective coverings.
Fabricate and install aluminum and stainless-steel cladding.
Install vapour barriers, weatherproofing and insulation finishes as required.
Perform layout, measurements and field fitting to ensure accurate installation.
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
Identify deficiencies and complete repairs or rework as required.
Utilize digital work packages and quality documentation.
Work collaboratively with supervision, other trades and project personnel.
Mentor and support apprentice insulators in developing their trade skills.
Follow all MSCP and client HSE requirements, including LOTO, PPE and site-specific procedures.
Participate in toolbox talks, FLHAs and other safety initiatives.
Work safely and effectively in remote northern environments and changing weather conditions.
Journeyperson Insulator certification or demonstrated experience working at a Journeyperson level.
Industrial insulation experience required.
Experience in operating plants, industrial construction, maintenance, turnarounds or shutdowns considered an asset.
Strong knowledge of industrial insulation materials, installation methods and metal cladding.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and work packages.
Strong commitment to safety, quality and workmanship.
Must be willing and able to travel to Nunavut and other project locations as required.
Ability to work rotational schedules and extended shifts based on project requirements.
Ability to work in remote locations and northern climatic conditions.
Valid site-specific safety certifications as required by the project.
