Garden Maintenance - Seasonal - $18.75/Hour

Join the Municipality of Oakville's seasonal team to help keep community parks and green spaces looking their best. This is an outdoor, hands-on role involving horticulture and general grounds maintenance.

Location: Oakville, ON

Pay: $18.75/hour + 4% vacation pay (paid weekly, every Friday)

Schedule: Full-time, starting September 2nd and running until mid-October

Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday-Sunday rotation; 5 shifts/week; if scheduled on a weekend, you'll receive weekdays off in lieu)

What You'll Do:

• Maintain flower beds, planters, pots, hanging baskets, and fixed beds
• Perform tasks such as mulching, wood chipping, watering, weed pulling, and raking
• Operate Municipality of Oakville vehicles to travel between sites
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions; tasks are labour-intensive and involve bending, twisting, digging, and lifting

What We're Looking For:

• Must be comfortable working outdoors
• Valid G or G2 driver's license with a clear driver's abstract
• Bondable and able to complete/submit a clear police record check
• Landscaping or horticulture knowledge is an asset
• Flexible availability, including weekends (with weekdays off in lieu)
