What You'll Do:

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing purchasing activities, supplier relationships, inventory investment, and procurement strategies to support company growth and profitability.

Purchasing & Supplier Management

  • Manage purchasing activities and inventory replenishment.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships.
  • Negotiate pricing, programs, and purchasing agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and identify improvement opportunities.

Inventory & Planning

  • Work closely with Inventory Control to optimize stock levels.
  • Monitor inventory investment, turnover, and product availability.
  • Support forecasting and purchasing strategies to meet business needs.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze purchasing, inventory, and sales trends.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and prepare reports.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Management, Operations, Distribution, and Finance teams.
  • Lead purchasing initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide guidance and support to purchasing team members.

Do You Fit the Part?

  • 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain experience.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Experience with ERP systems and purchasing processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence business decisions.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and support team development while fostering a collaborative and accountable work environment.

Preferred Attributes

  • Automotive aftermarket, retail, or distribution industry experience.
  • Experience with forecasting and inventory management.
  • Power BI or reporting tool knowledge.
  • Proven ability to drive efficiencies and improve supplier performance.
