Delivery Driver

Key Responsibilities

* Load and organize packages into the delivery vehicle according to the assigned route.

* Safely operate a delivery van while following all traffic laws and DSP safety requirements.

* Deliver packages to residential homes, apartments, businesses, and other customer locations.

* Use the Amazon delivery app and handheld device to navigate routes, scan packages, and complete deliveries.

* Follow customer delivery instructions and ensure packages are delivered to the correct address and location.

* Take clear and accurate Proof of Delivery (POD) photos when required.

* Follow proper procedures to minimize Delivery Not Received (DNR) incidents and other delivery defects.

* Maintain a high Delivery Completion Rate (DCR) by making appropriate delivery attempts and following required procedures for undeliverable packages.

* Contact customers when necessary to resolve access problems, address issues, OTP deliveries, or other delivery difficulties.

* Follow proper procedures for business-closed, customer-cancelled, damaged, missing, or undeliverable packages.

* Return undelivered packages to the delivery station and ensure the correct RTS (Return to Station) reason is selected.

* Maintain communication with dispatch regarding delays, route difficulties, vehicle issues, emergencies, or assistance requirements.

* Perform vehicle inspections before and after the route and immediately report any safety or maintenance concerns.

* Follow safe-driving standards, including proper seatbelt use, safe following distance, speed compliance, and distraction-free driving.

* Handle packages carefully and professionally while protecting customer property.

* Work independently in different weather and traffic conditions while meeting route expectations.

* Assist other Delivery Associates with rescues when directed by dispatch.

* Maintain professional and respectful interactions with customers, coworkers, dispatchers, and station personnel.

Physical Requirements

* Ability to repeatedly enter and exit a delivery vehicle throughout the shift.

* Ability to walk, climb stairs, bend, lift, carry, and handle packages throughout the workday.

* Ability to lift packages up to the weight limit established by the employer.

* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Delivery Associates are expected to maintain strong performance in areas such as:

* Safe driving
