Initially opened in 1930 as “Eaton's Seventh Floor,” French architect Jacques Carlu designed the Carlu. Now recognized as one of Toronto's best examples of Art Moderne architecture, The Carlu has been designated as a National Historic Site of Canada and has played host to royalty on several occasions. As the preferred space for high profile social fetes, conventions, and corporate celebrations. In 2003, the space at 444 Yonge St. in College Park reopened as “The Carlu” event venue after an extensive restoration.

Under the direction of the Back of House Management Team, our dishwashers clean and put away all dishes, glassware, utensils and pots while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dish area and dish machines.

The day to day:

• Operate dishwashers efficiently.
• Wash glassware and flatware.
• Polish all glassware and flatware.
• Clean and sanitize dishwasher mats, dish carts and dish racks.
• Assist in receiving and stocking supplies/products.
• Safely handle and store cleaning products.
• General dish area maintenance including: sweeping, mopping, organization and garbage removal.
• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

• Previous experience working in a dishwasher role or similar environment an asset.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to take direction and remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated
• Organizational skills and an ability to multi-task.
• Able to spend 100% of the time standing
• This is position is Full or Part time - mostly evening shifts
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
