Position Summary
KCR Community Resources is seeking a Payroll Administrator (Part-Time) to support accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. This role works closely with Finance and People & Culture to ensure payroll, benefits, statutory holiday pay, and employee pay changes are administered with care, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Reporting Structure: Director of Finance
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing & Administration
- Prepare and process hourly and salaried payroll accurately and on time
- Convert and reconcile payroll data between BambooHR and Payworks
- Confirm statutory holiday pay reports, including time-and-a-half calculations
- Calculate time-off adjustments and payroll corrections as required
- Prepare T4s and other required payroll documentation
Benefits, Changes & Employee Records
- Calculate and reconcile employee benefit rates, including for terminated employees
- Process employee terminations, ROEs, and final pay, including vacation pay payouts
- Enter and confirm payroll exceptions related to changes in departments or pay rates
Support & Collaboration
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Work collaboratively with Managers, Finance, and People & Culture to ensure payroll accuracy
- Assist with special payroll or finance-related projects as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of Canadian payroll experience
- Strong knowledge of provincial employment standards and payroll legislation
- Experience with Payworks and BambooHR is considered an asset
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle confidential information
Hours of Work
- Part-time: 10 hours per week (schedule to be discussed)
