Position Summary
Do you thrive on connecting people, supporting volunteerism, and building community relationships? KCR Community Resources is seeking a Volunteer Community Engagement Facilitator to strengthen volunteerism across the Central Okanagan. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for VolunteerConnector program inquiries, support volunteer managers with capacity building, and promote meaningful volunteer opportunities. You'll also contribute to fund and resource development through community outreach, support for the Okanagan Volunteer Fair, and sponsorship engagement ensuring that KCR's programs are visible, sustainable, and impactful for volunteers, partners, and the wider community.

Prime Functions:
Volunteer Management
- First point of contact for all VolunteerConnector program enquiries
- Promote the VolunteerConnector program to businesses and community partners
- Provide information, resources and support to prospective volunteers
- Educate volunteer managers on capacity building, and promote the benefits of the VolunteerConnector program
- Support volunteer managers to enhance volunteer connection and longevity
- Maintain and upkeep the VolunteerConnector database
- Ensure effective and up to date communication is provided to the VolunteerConnector program partners and volunteers
- Manage volunteer records, track volunteer data and report monthly
Development – Resource & Fund
- Support the Fund Development Facilitator with community outreach, connection and communication
- Resource grant opportunities that align with KCR's core competencies and mission
- Organize, facilitate and endorse the annual Okanagan Volunteer Fair, including sponsorship support
- Promote fee for service programs in line with annual targets, including the Overview to Volunteer Management
Qualifications:
- Experience with working and managing volunteers
- A motivated individual who thrives on making connections, networking, recognizing opportunities and engaging with others
- Experience working with fundraising database software is considered an asset
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
