Electrical Estimator / Project Manager

A well-established electrical contracting organization is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates and managing electrical construction projects of varying sizes and complexities within the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) sector.

This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong communication, project coordination, and problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate will oversee projects from initial estimating through completion while ensuring quality, safety, budget, and schedule requirements are met.

Typical project values range from $50,000 to $2 million.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates for new construction and renovation projects based on blueprints, specifications, drawings, and other project documentation.
• Manage all aspects of electrical construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
• Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track project costs and expenses, manage budgets, and recommend adjustments to project scope when required.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve project-related issues, challenges, and potential delays.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare and submit project status reports, cost updates, and progress reports to clients, management, and relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
• Support the successful completion of projects while maintaining strong customer relationships and service standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in electrical estimating and project management within the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) sector.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices, applicable building codes, and workplace safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction estimating, project costing, scheduling, and project coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PDF documentation, and Accubid estimating software.
• Excellent communication, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
