You will work closely with partners and clients across a range of industries, balancing technical excellence with commercial judgment and responsive service.

Responsibilities

· Manage a portfolio of Canadian corporate and owner-managed clients, overseeing engagements from planning through completion.

· Review complex T2, T1, T3, partnership and information returns, supporting schedules, elections and tax provisions.

· Lead tax planning and advisory assignments involving corporate reorganizations, remuneration strategies, succession and estate planning, acquisitions, dispositions and cross-border considerations.

· Research complex tax matters and prepare or review technical memoranda and clear, practical recommendations.

· Represent and support clients in CRA reviews, audits, notices of objection, voluntary disclosures and other correspondence.

· Manage engagement scope, staffing, budgets, timelines, billing and realization while identifying and mitigating technical and commercial risks.

· Build trusted client relationships, identify additional service opportunities and contribute to proposals and practice-development initiatives.

· Coach and develop team members through technical guidance, timely feedback, performance support and quality review.

· Improve tax workflows through effective use of technology, standardized documentation and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

· Canadian CPA designation.

· Completion of, or substantial progress toward, the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program will be an asset.

· Five to seven years of progressive Canadian tax experience, including significant experience in a public accounting firm.

· Demonstrated experience reviewing tax work and supervising, coaching or mentoring professional staff.

· Strong technical knowledge of Canadian corporate and personal income tax; experience with private enterprises, trusts, reorganizations, estate planning or cross-border matters is an asset.

· Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, competing deadlines, budgets and client expectations.

· Excellent research, analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to advise clients and present recommendations.

· Strong professional judgment, ethics, confidentiality and commitment to high-quality client service.

· Legal eligibility to work in Canada.

Technology & Tools

· Experience with Profile, CaseWare, QuickBooks or comparable tax and accounting platforms.

· Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

· Comfort adopting automation, analytics and AI-enabled tools responsibly while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality and professional review.

What We Offer

· Competitive base salary and performance-based bonus opportunities, subject to firm policy.

· Health, dental and extended benefits.

· Ongoing technical training, leadership development and support for continuous professional learning.

· Exposure to diverse clients, industries and complex Canadian and cross-border tax matters.

· A collaborative environment with access to the global PKF network and meaningful opportunities for career progression.

We thank all applicants for their interest; only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
