1 position - Straight Night Shift | Sunday-Thursday | 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

We are currently seeking a Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) to join the maintenance team of an established manufacturing operation.

This is a straight afternoon shift and straight night shift, ideal for a safety-focused, mechanically skilled Millwright who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

Position Summary

The Industrial Millwright is responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and improving production and facility equipment to support safe and continuous operations. This role plays an important part in equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, machine safety, and overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on production and facility equipment
• Diagnose, service, and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transmission systems
• Inspect, repair, and maintain pumps, valves, conveyors, and other mechanical equipment
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records and documentation
• Follow established Preventative Maintenance and Food Defense Program requirements
• Fabricate and modify machine parts to improve equipment safety, reliability, and efficiency
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and fluid power schematics to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Perform welding, fabrication, rigging, and hoisting activities as required
• Safely operate shop equipment including lathes, grinders, welders, forklifts, scissor lifts, and overhead cranes
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all established health and safety requirements
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and work closely with production to minimize downtime
• Assist with general building and facility maintenance as required
• Complete all required maintenance documentation accurately and on time

This is a straight shifts; however, flexibility will be required occasionally to provide coverage for vacations or other operational needs.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Industrial Millwright (433A) Certificate of Qualification
• Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing or processing environment
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Experience working with pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transmission systems
• Competent in the safe operation of general shop machinery and hand tools, including lathes, grinders, and welders
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and equipment schematics
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both maintenance and production teams
• Strong commitment to safe work practices

Working Conditions

• 24/5 manufacturing environment
• Frequent walking, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined or tight spaces
• Occasional work at heights with appropriate training and safety equipment
• Regular lifting ranging from 5 to 75 lbs.
• Exposure to noise, heat, cold temperatures, and typical industrial conditions
